Panchase Trek highlights

Panchase trek, a short and scenic trek, is one of the most popular treks for remarkable natural beauty.  It issurrounded by beautiful rhododendron forests and stunning mountain scenery. The trek heads southwest and then north into the Annapurna Conservation Area. It passes through subtropical valleys, rice fields and high ridges of rhododendron forest.  The trek takes an “off the beaten path”, trail.  It offers an opportunity to explore the different cultures in the area, including Brahmin, Magar and Gurungs. The views of Annapurna, Macchapucchare (Fishtail), and Himchuliare spectacular. This area is well known as the home of the Gurung people, traditional members of British Gorkha’s army. If we have the opportunity we will get to experience Gurung cultures and Gorkhali dancing.

Panchase is a famous Nepalese pilgrim’s destination. From there we can see how the youngest generation respects the ancestor’s soul. They even worship mountain gods for the same purpose. With each step you will be attracted by the beauty of the mountains.   You will benefit from its freshness to themind and body. This trek is famous for its non-tourists.  It is also suitable for older people.

Itinerary details of Panchase Treks

DAY 01:  Arrive in Kathmandu 1300 m

Upon your arrival in the Kathmandu airport, you will be greeted by a representative from All Trekkers Team (ATTm). After completing your custom formalities (Visa, etc) you will pick up your luggage and exit the airport.  On the other side of the door you should look for our representative.  They will be holding an All Trekkers Team display board or a board with your name written on it.  You will then be transferred to your hotel. After checking in you are free to rest, take a stroll around the city or visit our office. In the evening we will organize a Welcome Dinner at an excellent traditional Nepalese Restaurant where you will enjoy a Nepalese cultural program and a fine meal.

DAY 02:  Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

Today, after breakfast, you will have a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual sites in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are World Heritage Sites including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of PashupatiNath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and Buddhists shrine,BoudhanathStupa, one of the largest Stupas in the world. In the afternoon, there will be a pre-trip discussion where you will meet your trek leader and other team members. All Trekkers Team will brief you regarding the trek as well as provides you with an opportunity to ask any questions about your upcoming adventure.  If you need any gear for the trek you can shop around the city this evening.  We will guide you to the best shops in the area.Overnight in Kathmandu.

DAY 03:  Drive to Pokhara  6-7 hrs drive

Early morning, we take a tourist bus to Pokhara. If you are lucky and get the right side of the bus you will take great pleasure in the views of green mountains and quaint villages. Upon reaching the enchanting city of Pokhara you will see more magnificent views.  These will be the peaks of Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhare, Manaslu, the five peaks of the Annapurnas and others. Pokhara has numerous lakes, (known as 'Tal' in Nepali) which offer fishing, boating and swimming. Strolling around the lakeside city and exploring it in the evening is enjoyable. Overnight in a hotel in Pokhara.

Day 04 Pokhara to Bumdi(1535m.)

Today, after breakfast we begin our journey. We’ll drive to ThadoKhola via the beautiful Davis Falls.  From there we start trekking toBhumdi.  This will take about 4 hours of walking through green forest teeming with flora and fauna. At the beginning the trail moves up a long staircase to a ridge and then drops down to Bhumdi. Bhumdiis known for its great views of several mountains:Himalchuli, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Annapurna range and Fishtail.

Day 05: Trek to PanchaseBhanjyang (2110)

If we are lucky enough to have clear weather you will see the beautiful mountain views all along the trail to PanchaseBhanjyang. Bhanjyang is a small settlement at the foot of Panchase where you will have great views over Pokhara Valley and Phewa Lake.

Day 06: Trek to Climbing Panchase hill summit (2500m.)

Today we climb to the Panchase hill summit (2500m).  This is another great place for panoramic views of the Annapurna peaks, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu. You will find ruins of the temple at the summit. When we’ve had enough time to enjoy the view we head back down to our base where we can relax and explore for the rest of the day.

Day 07: Trek to Badoure (1500m.)

This day you will pass through scattered villages on your way to Badoure. You will see farm fields, villages and beautiful mountain scenery. You will walk about 5 hours on this day.

Day 08: Trek to Nayapul, drive to Pokhara (1030m.)

This is the last day of your trekking schedule. We need to walk for a few hours to get toNayapul. From Nayapulwe will catch a bus or car back to Pokhara. We will stay in Pokhara tonight. The drive back to Pokhara from Nayapul takes about half an hour.Overnight in Pokhara in nice hotel.

Day 9: Drive back to Kathmandu:

It will take 5/6 hours driving to get back to Kathmandu. You will see the same wonderful scenery as you saw on the first days drive. This is a good time to take those photos you may have missed.  Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 10: Farewell:

You are saying goodbye to the mountains as your journey in Nepal comes to an end today! We hope you enjoyed the tour with us, and are sure you`ll be back to the Himalayas again!

Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight a representative from All Trekkers Team will transfer you to the airport. On your way home you'll have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal!
