Panchase trek, a short and scenic trek, is one of the most popular treks for remarkable natural beauty. It issurrounded by beautiful rhododendron forests and stunning mountain scenery. The trek heads southwest and then north into the Annapurna Conservation Area. It passes through subtropical valleys, rice fields and high ridges of rhododendron forest. The trek takes an “off the beaten path”, trail. It offers an opportunity to explore the different cultures in the area, including Brahmin, Magar and Gurungs. The views of Annapurna, Macchapucchare (Fishtail), and Himchuliare spectacular. This area is well known as the home of the Gurung people, traditional members of British Gorkha’s army.
